A Message From Venita Robinson

Hi! Thank you for visiting this page and, therefore, considering to donate! In 2015, I took on the honorable task of joining the YP Board for the Greater Cincinnati Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. I had already been extremely curious and in awe of the work that was being done and believed in the mission. Not too soon after hearing about all the great things the organization was doing, it was heavy on my heart that I wanted to be a part of it. In April 2015, I was matched my with girl, Jaye'la! Jaye'la is the sibling to 3 others, crazy smart, quiet and inquisitive. She is starting the 6th grade this year and is very excited. She loves slim, her favorite color is blue and she is a twin. Even through greater distance, Jaye'la and I maintain our relationship and we look forward to our time together after 3 years. It is my hope that others have the opportunity to experience this same sort of positive relationship.

We create life-changing friendships by matching adult mentors with  at-risk Tri-State children in need of positive role models.  We partner with parents and guardians, volunteers and others in the community, and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program. Statistics show these Little Brothers and Sisters have higher aspirations, greater confidence, do better in school and avoid risky behaviors.
