A Message From Emily Ceddia
I have been active in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program since 2011. I have had two little sisters during this time. I received a new little sister once my first little sister went to high school. I have had my current little sister for 4 years and have loved every minute. We started in the on-site program and moved to the community based program when she moved to a different school district. In the last couple years of doing the community match program, we have grown closer and really gotten to know each other and each other's families. There is nothing better than when you're having a bad day, and you text your little and she tells you she misses you. Knowing that I have made an impact in one person's life means more to me the older I get than I ever thought it would when I started this program almost 10 years ago. I have loved seeing my little sister grow from a little girl into a young woman, and cannot wait see what the next couple years have in store for her. Plus it's always nice to think that someone that age thinks you are cool and enjoys hanging out with you. I have a daughter the same age as my little sister, and she definitely does not feel the same way :) When I started this program almost 10 years ago, I never pictured myself still in it 10 years later and doing the community based program, but I'm so glad that I stayed with the program and cannot imagine my life without it. Please consider donating to this great local cause. Thank you!

In Support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati
We create life-changing friendships by matching adult mentors with at-risk Tri-State children in need of positive role models. We partner with parents and guardians, volunteers and others in the community, and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program. Statistics show these Little Brothers and Sisters have higher aspirations, greater confidence, do better in school and avoid risky behaviors.
