My little, John, and I have been matched for over a year and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Watching him grow in confidence, try new things, and step outside his comfort zone has been incredible. We spend a lot of our time trying new foods, attending sporting events, staying active, and simply enjoying time together. I am creating this page because I have seen firsthand the impact a mentor can have in a young person's life. Big Brothers Big Sisters #1 priority is youth safety and well being, and I believe every child deserves the opportunity to feel safe, supported, and cared for. Every match is supported through donations and it takes approximately $1,500 each year to support one mentoring relationship.
